100% recommend the kayak trip!
We absolutely enjoyed our kayak trip. The scenery was stunning, the water was very easy to paddle in 85% of the time and there are great options for lunch stops on the way. We saw herons and a few other native NZ birds. Gavin and Cindy were very friendly and helpful and even gave us freshly baked cookies for our trip. The only helpful thing would have been a spare dry bag as one was not quite enough for a grup of five, but that's okay.

Book the 8am!!
Loved our experience! Self guided and 4 hours was plenty enough time to make it to the lake and back! We totalled 11.7km! The 8am booking was amazing! No wind in the morning and the creek looked like glass! The gear was all great and in good order, hosts are lovely! Highly recommend!

A must do in Hokitika
This 4 hour kayak was an absolute standout of our West Coast trip. Beautiful waterways and lake, with a constant backdrop of snow capped mountains. The sit on top kayaks and life vests were in excellent condition and very safe. And the hosts were wonderful and very welcoming. Don’t miss this experience!

Super moment en kayak
Très bien accueilli. Gavin nous a très bien conseillé. Nous ans vu beaucoup d'oiseaux d'oiseaux hérons blancs, spatules blanches. A l'aller, nous avons tranquillement remonté la rivière et traversé le lac jusqu'à la rive en face de la rivière en 2h40. Plusieurs plages de sable permettent la baignade. Nous avons fait le retour en mode plus sportif en 1h20. Le courant aide au retour. Vraiment une journée mémorable.

Toller Nachmittag!
Super. Hatten ne Menge Spass. Der Betreiber war sehr entspannt. Wasser war warm, viele Vögel um einen rum, einfach spitze.
